'One man band' Rens (Vocals, slide-guitar and foot-drums)

Rens has been playing the guitar and other string instruments for over 35 years. In the 1980’s he was the driving force behind the folkgroup “Duty Free, in which he played the mandoline,the bouzouki, the mandola and the banjo. In the 1990’s he founded the Dutch blues band “Blues BV”, in which he still plays an active part. Over the years Rens developed and honed his acoustic slide-guitar skills by playing with artists like John Jackson(†), Michael Roach, Sam Mitchell(†), and Michael Messer. He also took part in workshops by Bob Brozman, Catfish Keith and Paul Rishell.

BKHARP (bluesharp, guitar and vocals)

At the age of 13, BKHARP was inspired by blues giants such as Lightning Hopkins and Little Walter. Since then he has been influenced and inspired by the acoustic as well as the electric blues. His favourite musicians are B.B.King, Freddy King and Johnny Winter. Until recently he played guitar in the Dutch blues band “Blues BV”. BKHARP now plays his heart out on the bluesharp in the Delta Cousins.

The Delta Cousins play a style of blues that goes back to the beginning of the blues: the way it was played in the cotton fields and the juke joints in the south of the USA.
The Delta Cousins’ aim is to achieve this original sound and feel of the blues as much as possible.
